This website presents Chalé Girassol and lets you check availability on WhatsApp. Here we explain, plainly, what data passes through the site, what it is used for and how you can exercise your rights under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).
1. Who is responsible
Chalé Girassol, a lodging in Tunápolis/SC, Brazil, managed by hosts Eduardo and Juliane, is responsible (the controller) for the data processed through this website. Contact for privacy matters: WhatsApp +55 (49) 99154-6631.
2. What data passes through the site
- Availability inquiry: the name, WhatsApp number, check-in and checkout dates and number of guests you fill in on the form.
- Technical access logs: like any website, the server automatically records technical data about visits (IP address, date and time, page accessed and browser type).
Form data is not sent to our server or stored by the site. It stays in your browser and is only used to build the message that opens in WhatsApp. The inquiry only reaches the host if you send that message within WhatsApp.
3. What we use it for and on what legal basis
- Replying to your inquiry, confirming dates and arranging the booking: steps prior to a contract, at your request (art. 7, V, LGPD).
- Technical logs: keeping the site secure and working (legitimate interest, art. 7, IX) and meeting legal obligations, such as those of Brazil's Internet Civil Framework (Marco Civil da Internet) (art. 7, II).
We do not sell data, we do not use your data for advertising and we do not send messages unless you started the conversation.
4. Third-party services
- WhatsApp (Meta): the conversation takes place on WhatsApp and follows the app's own privacy policy.
- Google Maps: the map in the Location section is loaded from Google when you reach it. Google may collect browsing data under its own privacy policy.
- Airbnb: the Airbnb links lead to the Airbnb website, which has its own policy.
The site's photos, videos and fonts are served from our own server, with no third-party services.
5. Cookies
This site does not use its own cookies or any analytics, tracking or advertising tools. That is why there is no cookie banner. Only the Google map, when loaded, may use Google's own cookies.
6. How long we keep data
The site does not keep form data. Booking conversations stay on the host's WhatsApp for as long as needed to assist you and meet legal obligations. Technical access logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted, observing the period required by law.
7. Your rights
Under the LGPD (art. 18), you may request at any time:
- confirmation that we process your data and access to it;
- correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
- anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in breach of the law;
- portability and information about whom the data was shared with;
- deletion of data processed with your consent and withdrawal of that consent.

8. Security
The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and has no login area or visitor database.
